Jeffrey Discs
Celebrating Jeffrey’s Spirit One Throw At A Time
Jeffrey Discs is a memorial project honoring Jeffrey and offering people the opportunity to share their grief, as well as their stories of kindness and joy, in community.
In 2025 we released 20 custom disc golf discs into the world with the instructions “Play With This Disc And…Leave It At Another Hole Or Course.” When they find a disc, people scan the QR code on the back to record its location and learn about Jeffrey. They then have the opportunity to share text, photos and videos about their own experiences with kindness, joy and loss.
Each disc will find its own way through the world—represented on the Jeffrey Discs website map—gathering stories, feelings and wishes along the way. Our hope is that Jeffrey Discs helps people to not only celebrate Jeffrey’s love of disc golf, but also to engage with loss and grief as part of a community.
Where’s Junior
Remembering Jeffrey In Places He Made Special To Us
Where’s Junior is one of the ways we celebrate Jeffrey’s spirit, keep him present in our world, and help each other to engage with the grief we feel from the loss of Jeffrey and other loved ones who are no longer with us.
We do this by engraving and placing stones around the world in places chosen by Jeffrey’s family and friends. After being granted access, friends and family can visit stones and share their photo, video and text thoughts with the community.
The image engraved on these stones is inspired by a series of photographs of Jeffrey leaping between the same 2 boulders, year after year, on the beautiful Big Sur coastline. These photos, and the stones we engrave and place with you, capture Jeffrey’s joyous and adventuresome spirit.
