Our Mission

We, Jeffrey’s family, formed the Jeffrey Lucas Gurmendi Marshall Foundation to foster Kindness, Joy, and Mental Well-Being for Youth and Families.

Why We Started the Foundation

We lost Jeffrey suddenly and unexpectedly to suicide in August 2024. Our hope is that, through the Foundation, we can help other families to prevent what happened to us, and to engage with grief and loss in community when tragedies aren’t prevented.

How You Helped Start the Foundation

We were able to start the Foundation thanks to countless generous gift to our the GoFundMe we established in the months after Jeffrey’s passing. We remain deeply grateful for those donations from family, friends, neighbors, and many others. Thank you.
